6 Months Old
Going for the camera.

Notice one sock is off. This is a constant battle for us. Madison loves to pull and pull on her socks until she finally gets one. Never mind all of the great toys...she'd rather play with her sock.

Finally!! A good picutre of her two little teeth!

Our Little Minnow
We went to the YMCA pool for the first time today. Madison had a blast! I think Scott and I had just as much fun. I went down the kiddie slide (not intended for adults) and beached myself! Thank God we didn't catch that on camera!
Still dry with Daddy.

She kicked and kicked!

All smiles!

Snowed In
Scott and Madison were best buddies yesterday. Here they are hugging each other and playing solitare. They sat like that forever!
(The new desk is being delivered tomorrow...goodbye folding table!)
You just can't fight the snow day nap.

Winter Storm 2007
Well, we've lived in Iowa almost 5 years and this is the worst storm we've seen. Needless to say, we are not going to Orlando tomorrow.
This is from last week's ice storm. This picture helps you judge how deep the snow drifts are.

Major drifts! Although the forecasters are calling for about 2 inches of additional accumulation today, the real problem is the wind is blowing about 40 miles per hour and is supposed to continue through tomorrow.
Scott managed to dig a path from the door, but didn't even try to get the old tractor out of the shed. Yesterday afternoon, his truck was stuck at the end of our long driveway and our "machine" couldn't even get to it due to all of the ice under the snow. One of his partners had to come from about 3 miles away with his big, newer tractor and snow blower to get him out and to the garage. Today, you can't even tell it was ever plowed.

Scott standing on the sidewalk after running the snow blower.

Scott standing in a drift in the yard. This drift completely covered the dog house. Good thing we don't have a dog!!

The Mother of all Drifts!!
This is on the west side of the Morton Building. We estimate it is at least 8 foot tall and growing. Do you like my socks??
