New Baby
Linenberger's gave Madison this Cabbage Patch Baby for Christmas and I left it in the package unitl a few days ago. She loves her baby.

Getting ready to feed the baby...well, holding both the bottle and the baby at the same time anyway.
(Do you like her pretty summer jammies?)
Almost Mobile
Madison is not yet crawling, but she is definatley getting around. She wrecked this pile of folded laundry in a matter of seconds.

By the time I was finished with the camera, all of the tags on the shirts were wet...she will find a tag on anything and it immediately goes into her mouth.

Finally Outside
I think you could pull her around in the wagon all day before she would tire of it. She doesn't even mind the bumpy ride on the gravel road.

I promised Madison that there will be a day when she doesn't have to wear a jacket outside. It may be a few more weeks, but it WILL warm up sometime!

G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S
Here's our glam gal striking a pose. Don't worry baby, the photographer will airbrush out that self-inflicted gash on your nose!

Cooking up a storm in the hallway

Here's our favorite...the Fruit Face. This day it was prunes but it doesn't matter what fruit you give her...this is the face you get.

7 Months ... Just the Facts
  • Madison dislikes fruit and loves turkey and every vegetable.
  • For the last 2 weeks, she has been trying to get on her hands and knees. She rocks back and forth but can't quite get her feet behind her.
  • Madison has mastered the "Geier Smile"...she smiles so hard her eyes go shut.
  • Primarily uses her left hand to self feed. This should make Gpa Stehlik and Uncle Steve happy!
  • Madison is just beginning to have a little separation anxiety. I'm afraid they are going to kick her out of kiddie care at the YMCA! We'll just keep going until she gets used to it or they give her the boot.

New Kitties
Congratulations to Gray Momma. She had a litter of kittens somtime Friday or Saturday. There are five kitties...three gray, one orange and white, and one calico. If they all make it, our outside cat population will double.
Easter
Madison enjoyed her Easter garb...at least for a few minutes. She kept raising her eyebrows trying to see over the top of the glasses.

Here's Madison in her wagon (Thanks Gpa Ed!) surrounded by all of her Easter loot. Thanks to all the family for the great stuff. Madison tried to munch a marshmallow rabit, but she has not yet acquired a sweet tooth, so Scott and I helped her eat her goodies.

Burning rubber in the Radio Flyer 2700! Fasten your seatbelt...Grandpa's driving!!!

It should be illegal to live in Iowa from October to May. We had to bundle up to go outside to try out the wagon. Madison was paralized by the mittens and sunglasses.

Thanks Gma & Gpa Stehlik!
Grandma and Grandpa Stehlik came to stay with Madison this past weekend so Scott and I could get away. It was our first time away from Madison and it was great! Gma and Gpa had a good time and Madison enjoyed all their love and attention. Thanks again!
Fun Times!
Madison had an ear infection last week and needed quite a bit of extra attention. She was hanging out with me while I made supper, so I gave her some kitchen items to keep her busy. She even managed to give me a little smile.

Bathing in the sink is lots of fun!

Yummy goldfish!
