Update

Although I don't have any new pictures to post, alot has been going on. Madison cut her 2nd tooth last week after a few moody days in Garden City. She is also sitting up independently. Every once in a while she falls over and gets mad because she hasn't figured how to get back up again.

Da Da Da and Pl Pl Pl are her favorite words to say. Scott thinks it is so cute when she puckers her lips up to make the Pl sound. She has also started cracking herself up. Sometimes she just starts laughing for no real reason. It is fun to watch.

We signed up for a membership at the YMCA in Spirit Lake. They have a new facility and awesome kiddie pool. Madison and I are going to check it out this week. Madison is also looking forward to spending a little time in the Kinder Care Center while I work out. I asked the lady that opened our membership if they did background checks on the day care employees. I think she thought I was a little paranoid. Maybe she was right. Tammy Heetland told me that she saw one of the day care workers and recognized her - Tammy took her wedding photos. She told me that she and her husband had never kissed until their wedding day....so I guess she is wholesome enough to babysit my kid for and hour while I do aerobics.

Scott and I are going to Orlando March 3-7...our first trip away from Madison. Gma and Gpa Stehlik are coming to babysit. I'm not worried about any of them...mostly just me. It will probably take drugs and alcohol to get me out of the house, but I am looking forward to a break. I'll post some picutes when we get home.

The Latest...

We went to Garden City February 15-18 to see the family. Madison had fun with Grandpa Ed. I'm pretty sure he had fun, too!

Hanging out with cousin Wren. Wren is a busy little gal...I'm sure she'll have lots of tricks to teach Madison in the next few years!

I usually fold laundry on our bed and prop Madison up for a little entertainment. She decided to try on Daddy's stocking cap. She's our little gangsta baby!

I'm 5 Months Old Today!

Madison statistics at 5 months:

• Loves the tags on stuffed animals
• Weighs in somewhere around 18 lbs
• Has one sharp tooth and is not afraid to use it
• Makes many loud sounds...coos, shouts, toots, burps, gurgles, hiccups, etc.
• Sleeps about 10 - 11 hours at night with a couple 45 minute naps during the day
• Beginning to enjoy her daily rations of rice cereal
• Makes Scott and I smile many, many times a day
  

It's Madison's World...

She is pretty good at sitting up with the help of the boppy. I think rolling over must be too boring for her as she has only done it twice.

Thank you Wren for the cute hand-me-down hat. It keeps me very warm and makes my cheeks look even bigger!


She likes to roll to the side and then stop. No need to go all the way.

This is the scene every morning when I get her out of bed. She always spends a few minutes talking to the giraffe and pig in her crib and playing with her binki. When I get her out of the crib, she always opens her mouth really wide and presses her face to mine to give me a kiss. I love it!
