Getting Closer

Had an ultrasound yesterday to make sure that Baby #2 is head down...confirmed. According to the ultrasound measurements, the baby is already 6lbs 12ozs and right on schedule. All systems are go for a VBAC. Met with the surgeon to discuss the risks/benefits so we are feeling good about the whole process...just scared of actually being parents to 2 kids instead of 1. Then, the doctor checked me and said I am already 1-2 cm dilated and that the baby's head was, "right there." Let me tell you, it feels like it is "right there." Also, she looked back in my chart at how my labor progressed with Madison...5:30am - 3cm dilated, 8:55am - 9 cm dilated...and told me not to wait at home very long before getting to the hospital because she anticipated things to move even more quickly this time around. We can only hope!

So, Scott thinks this kid is coming on January 26. I think it will hold off until January 29 at least. My due date is February 5. Today, we ate chinese food and my fortune said something like, "You will do something out of the ordinary next weekend." Scott's eyes got really big when I read it!!! He's on call next weekend and debated whether or not he should work or try to trade it. Anyway, what are your guesses on the arrival of this kid? What about sex...boy or girl?
