Fancy Nancy Birthday Party
After months of planning, the big party day finally arrived!

Scott and I decorated the house in the morning while Madison relaxed at Grandpa's house.

Cute, aren't they? The big flower had a crown printed on them with the word "princess." I didn't make them. I'm no good at baking.

I'd like to thank Hobby Lobby for the email sale flyers. I waited to buy all the things I needed until they were on sale 50% off. FYI - if something you want at Hobby Lobby is not on sale, just wait a week or two.

Natalie in her party dress.

Fancy Madison awaiting the arrival of her fancy friends.

Once everyone arrived, we read Fancy Nancy. Natalie stared down all the guests.

Then, the fancy girls got a little more fancy by making their own necklaces.

After we played, "Is It Fancy Or Is It Plain?" the girls were rewarded with tiaras and boas.

Cupcakes, ice cream, and pink lemonade were enjoyed by all.

Even Natalie.

Then, Madison opened gifts. Natalie was circling like a hawk on fresh road kill...just waiting to get her hands on the stuff Madison put down.

Sometimes Madison has a little trouble with 'thank you's' but not this day! She was so appreciative of her gifts, she even delivered a few hugs.

And, after everyone was gone and the sugar wore off, this fancy girl had a little nap.

That's how I ALWAYS feel after my birthdays...or at least after the late teens/early 20s...But probably not b/c of too many cupcakes. ;) Your hair is so cute!!
